Recognition by the AI Dialogue Partnerships Hub
The Coalition for Decentralized Healthcare & Life Sciences (CDHLS) initiative — Decentralized Health Systems Adoption at Scale — has been recognized by the United Nations Global Dialogue on AI Governance through its AI Dialogue Partnerships Hub.
The UN Global Dialogue on AI Governance is a multistakeholder initiative fostering inclusive, transparent, and accountable AI development worldwide. Its AI Dialogue Partnerships Hub serves as a platform for partner initiatives to contribute to the Dialogue’s thematic clusters and global objectives.
This recognition highlights the growing importance of Decentralized AI (DeAI) in transforming healthcare by delivering transparent, trustworthy, ethical, and patient-centered AI systems that address many of the limitations of current commercial AI platforms.
Six Strategic Priorities
The initiative focuses on six strategic priorities:
✅ Secure and Trustworthy AI Infrastructure for Healthcare
✅ Private Economic Layer for Decentralized Healthcare AI Payments
✅ Self-Sovereign Patient
✅ Workforce Mobility
✅ Decentralized AI Marketplaces
✅ Decentralized Global Health Intelligence and Response Networks
Alignment with UN Global Dialogue Strategic Themes
This effort aligns with three of the thematic clusters within the UN Global Dialogue:
🔹 Bridging AI Divides – Addressed through Decentralized AI Marketplaces and Global Health Intelligence Networks.
🔹 Safe, Secure and Trustworthy AI – Addressed through Secure and Trustworthy AI Infrastructure for Healthcare and a Private Economic Layer for Decentralized Healthcare AI Payments.
🔹 Human Rights, Transparency and Oversight – Addressed through Self-Sovereign Patient and Workforce Mobility.
This work also supports the following UN Sustainable Development Goals:
- SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being
- SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
- SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
- SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities
Approach
The initiative is investigating the application of decentralized AI technologies to resolve structural gaps and strategic risks in healthcare AI adoption. The investigation employs an ethics-driven design process, balancing the pursuit of institutional sovereignty with a commitment to transparency, equitable reach, and accountability.
Findings will be incorporated into adoption roadmaps for early-stage experimentation and pilot projects, with success criteria linked directly back to originating ethical imperatives and business requirements.
Knowledge Dissemination and Scholarship
Position papers, conference submissions, and industry reports will be produced as the primary vehicle for validating and disseminating findings.
